Is $WBB{'sort;DEFAULT'} = ''; ?
Supplying a value to $WBB{'sort;DEFAULT'} may fix these problems.
There seem to be some circumstances where having an empty DEFAULT value in WBB's sort variable can cause problems. I haven't tracked the source of this problem but I have been experiencing strange problems, where if default.tbl didn't exist, the QRY and ROWS would fail. What's more, default.tbl wasn't being generated.
