The default style sheet contains style settings which will control the display of the body in CSS capable browsers. If you want pageBody to set value such as color you must over-ride the default style sheet by setting a value for style, e.g., $WBB{'style'} = '/* */';
Of course, the real solution is to use style sheets to define styles for the page body. Leave pageBody for your JavaScript commands and other things.
