WODA FAQs
For an overview of WODA's capabilities read the General Information. If you want to use the FAQ offline grab the entire List of Q&As which includes the general information. These FAQs are selected and edited from mail sent to the WODA users mailing list. The full archive is stored at the WODA web site.
If you know what you're looking for you can search the database using the form above. If you're here for the first time you could start with the list of FAQ categories or browse the FAQ Index. You may find it easier to search by multiple keywords. It should be noted that the version number is not a reliable method for searching the FAQ - a version number is only entered when the question is version specific. If you've been here before you might want to see What's New. You can see how WODA is being used on the web by following the ring of web pages, there are about a dozen examples here.
Most beginner's questions have already been answered in the built-in documentation or the online resources. The WODA Help File and the Administrators Manual are found on-line at the WODA web site. The manual is an excellent beginner's reference for WODA. Download a copy to your own machine so that you can access it quickly when you need it. New users will probably need to spend most time reading the Administrator's manual, and the Configurable Parameters which is built into the code. The Perl API and CGI API are also built in and provide information for intermediate to advanced users. Access the built-in materials from the Administator's menu of your database.
